Key Tire Maintenance Tips
- Check Pressure Monthly: Check when tires are cold and use the PSI on the driver’s door jamb — not the max on the sidewall.
- Rotate Every 5,000–8,000 Miles: Promotes even wear and extends tire life.
- Check Tread Depth: Use the penny test. If you see the top of Lincoln’s head, it’s time to replace the tire (below 2/32”).
- Inspect for Damage: Look for cracks, cuts, bulges, or embedded objects. Replace damaged tires immediately.
- Align Annually: Prevents uneven wear and improves handling.
- Avoid Overloading: Stay within your vehicle’s load capacity.
- Store Properly: Keep in a cool, dry, dark place in airtight bags.
- Check Valve Caps: Ensure caps are secure to protect the TPMS.
